First Meeting is Coming!

The first Science Olympiad meeting this year will be after school in Mr. Ricker's room (208) on Friday, September 13th. The parent meeting will be held shortly afterward. We will give out some general information and talk about things like fundraising/ fees and volunteers.


I hope you're all excited to do some fun science stuff this year!

The 2014 Season is Almost Here!

Keep listening to the announcements for the first meeting of the year...
Some things to look out for this year...
  • New events! some events have been changed from last year... see the event page for details
  • We're broke! Registering each team costs over $200, and each invitational costs more. If we want to take school busses to the competitions, that's even more money. Then there's shirts. And it would be nice if we had a team fund to purchase certain supplies. Because of this, there will probably be a small fee this year, and we are looking into having fundraisers, such as tutoring, or any other ideas you may have.
  • Volunteers! Each time we go to a competition, Mr. Ricker has to run an event, so we need parent volunteers to help. If we don't have enough volunteers, we can't go to competitions.
